Its Not as Easy as It Looks

After I finished my website I started to learn how to work on an arduino. By now I have working on arduinos for some time. I had learned a lot, from both success and failure. It is really not as easy as it looks. Just to make an LED go out by holding a button isn't that easy.
Even though it looks like it is fast to learn, you have to take your time and not rush. If you rush you will put yourself into an embarassing spot even towards yourself.
Running into problems is a big part of learning. I had to run into many of them to learn. One of those problems was an LED never turning off. I had checked my code many times and it didn't help, because I rushed and never realized how important are resistant are.
Some of the code I used in the pushbutton code
I had to try different ways to work with the arduino. Pushbuttons for example. I had to experiment if it would work and how it is suppose to work. It took 2 classes to realize exactly how it is meant to work and now I will have to learn soldering if I want it to be better of usage.
Now I started realizing that I never had a determined goal about this project. I am still trying to get some ideas for the near future. I want to try to make a counter up to 1million, or something similar. While my plans for further future haven't changed and my wish of using my knowledge in the army stays the same.

Moving on to Something New

My first project in Computer Applications was to make a Hockey Marathon Website. It took me almost 2 months but now it is finally complete. I had finished the Hockey Marathon Website,
A typical arduino
and I am receiving a lot of good comments from all sorts of people about it. It seems like many people were surprised by the fact that I made it. Now that the website is complete, I am going to start working on something new.
I always wondered how machines worked, how they launched different processes and so, the  new thing that I had started working on are arduinos. I want to learn how to the hardware works and all of the possible things that will assist me in the future. In the army I don't want to actually fight but stay behind the front lines.
I use a special software to send codes to the arduino. With this software I am able to mess around with it and try out new things. I also use breadboards, where I connect all of the LEDs and wires.
LED lights chain
So far I face multiple problems, mostly with wiring. I had to rebuild my circuits multiple times. Sometimes because the were series circuits, and sometimes the were just not working. Another type of problems that I had faced were errors in the code. I could have asked the software to find it for me, but I never do because I want to find them myself and learn from them. I had two projects so far. Both were making chains of LED lights, but in two different ways. First one turned out as a series circuit and the second one as a success.
A breadboard
My goals, for now, are to master the arduino and be able to progress to something more complicated, something that will keep on challenging me and will open up a path in my future. I used a special software. With this software I am able to mess around with an arduino and try out new things.
